Goober looked at his new nut friends and decided to correct what he had done.
“Wait!” Goober told the nuts. “Yes,” he said, “I do know who is calling me. I was wrong to say that I didn’t know. They are other peanuts from the farm. We were raised together and traveled here together in the same sack. In fact, they helped me travel over to this shelf.”
“After I saw how wonderful you nuts are, I wanted to become one of you. A peanut is a legume, not a real nut. I thought if I pretended, the world would think I was a real nut like you.”
